Ki no Dendo (Museum for Wood Culture)

Ki no Dendo is a natural learning facility built in a leafy place of Torokawadaira, Kami Town under the theme of the “woods, sea, and sun” that can be described as symbols of Japan’s nature and culture. The museum introduces, from various viewpoints, the greatness of woods and trees which are a point of origin of the Japanese culture. The museum also offers many experience programs for interaction with nature. The museum building was designed by Tadao Ando, a world-class architect. If a Monday is a public holiday, the next weekday is our substitute holiday. *We may be closed in case of heavy snow in winter.
